Sea Lion Circus
So there I was, sitting across from Lenny and Linus as I was watching them do their double back flip. I am Maisie, the daughter of the famous clown Quail (also known as my mom Renee). I am the smallest, but silliest clown in the BubbleGum Circus. I'd like to get out of it, but I've promised to stay for five more years. Lenny and Linus are the most famous sea lions in the history of circus sea lions!!!! The whole world will be watching their wonderful tricks on Monday at 4:41 PM exactly. That's tomorrow! Their tricks are fabulous and they don't need any more practice. Well, I've got to get some rest so I can be ready for tomorrow. I have to put my makeup on, put my costume on, and I'll be helping Linus do his super special move. Goodnight.
Today is the day! What should I wear? I know, I'll wear my purple tutu and my yellow leotard with the black frilly polka dotted collar. PERFECT! Time for dress rehearsal with the sea lions!!!
"Okay Linus, time for your double back flip twist through the fire ring. . . the super special move," I said as I was crossing my fingers behind my back.
"Arh Arh," said Linus as he was excitedly clapping his slippery flippers together.
He was finishing his last flip up in the air. He was getting ready for the twist in the ring. He made it half way through, and he fell in the middle of it. I jumped up as I was hearing the horrible whimper he was making. I had to take him to The Circus Hospital for Animals ONLY!!!!
We got there in ten minutes straight and I filled out the wrinkly form the man behind the desk gave to me. It read:

I gave the form back to the man and sat down on a soft couch with Linus in my lap. It was 2:45 PM when Dr. Mall called us to his office. I sat Linus down on the uncomfortable desk that Dr. Mall assigned Linus to. Then I stood there waiting for him to come and check Linus out. Dr. Mall got all of his tools and set them down on a metal plate.
I said “Dr. Mall, can you help poor little Linus? His performance is at 4:41 PM exactly. He has to be there or Mom will fire him, and he will be sent to the caged up zoo.”
I made a cute puppy dog face as he said,” Well, first of all you are welcome to call me Amos. But you don't have to. Secondly, I'll have to place Linus in an X-ray machine, and keep him for 30 minutes to examine his tail that seems badly bruised. Plus, his stomach is horribly burnt. An X-ray may not help, but his tail may need a quick surgery which will take 30 more minutes up. I hope that's okay with you Miss Maisie."
"Totally. Will he be okay for the show? Don't answer that," I said nervously.
I walked home with sad eyes and took a nap on my large lumpy bed. I woke up and it was 3:15 PM. Thirty minutes were up. I walked back to The Circus Hospital for Animals ONLY!!!! When I got there, Linus was lying under a blinding bright light. Dr. Mall said that Linus needed six stitches on the left part of his tail, and it would only take about fifteen minutes. I trusted him and walked out of the room. It took fifteen minutes like Dr. Mall said, and then he called me in the room. It was 3:30. We had an hour and eleven minutes minutes until the show started. Linus was able to do his super special move, but this time not through a flaming hoop. I was bummed, but I agreed with him, thanked him and I brought Linus home. Mom heard what had happened, but she said the show must go on. It did. Lenny went first while Linus rested for a couple minutes. Soon he was up. Linus did a back flip first. His next trick was a front flip. He balanced a ball on his nose and hen it was time for the last trick.
“Okay Linus, time for your double back flip twist through the non-flaming ring,” I said crossing my fingers behind my back.
"Arh Arh," said Linus as he was excitedly clapping his slippery flippers together.
He made it half way through, and made it through the other half!!!! The crowd applauded. I cheered loudly. I hugged Linus tightly as he went "Arh Arh." He did it! I knew he could.
The End
